I have a true amerucauna hen. What can I breed to her to make Easter eggers vs olive eggers? I have a Delaware roo, Easter egger roo, olive egger roo, tolbunt polish roo, and silkie roo. I also bought two “americaunas” from my local feed store and was wondering your opinion on them. I call them my Easter eggers since they came from a feed store so probably not true amerucauna. They lay sea foam green colored eggs. Just trying to figure out what will create what lol. Picture below of the “americaunas”

Your hen should have two blue egg laying genes. Breeding her to a white egg laying breed (eg polish, silkie) should give offspring that lay blue eggs (though their offspring may not depending on what they are bred to). Breeding her to a brown egg laying breed (eg delaware) should give offspring that lay olive coloured eggs. Hard to know what the easter and olive egger roosters would give you- probably a bit of a rainbow mix depending on what genes they carry.

Olive eggs are in the eye of the beholder. Imo to be olive they need to be really dark green not just green. Imo you won't get olive eggers unless you breed to a dark brown egg layer such as a decent marans.
You may get olive from using your olive egger rooster but any of the others will give you Easter Eggers.
Pretty much breeding your hen to anything would give you Easter eggs since EE is just a widely used label and not a breed.

What are you wanting to create by making an EE? I think you would lose the blue egg option by breeding out of any of the breeds that do not produce blue eggs. I think you would end up with more brown egg possibilities.

Blue egg is dominate to white so using a true ameraucana a blue egg gene will be passed forward and the offspring will lay blue or green for that first generation.
But besides that it really shouldn't matter since general consensus is that EEs are allowed to lay any color eggs.
