i agree on them being about 3 months..after getting all the info about the breed and remembering that my other hens combs were more developed at 4 to 5 months i was thinking more along the lines of 3 months as well..i've been without chickens for 7 months so things are starting to come to me again!

those dark faces.... maybe they're the "australian blacks" TSC's been selling? they're culls from an independent breeder who's trying to make a laying hybrid with austrolorps and some others. i have a bird similar to the one in the 3rd pic i found in a BR bin but she has more partridge coloring....
