What do I have?

I wanted different breeds for the look and the different color eggs. Due to a dog attack I had the opportunity to order chicks. I ordered extra because some of the breeds I couldn't find locally and figured others might want some of those too, plus I was able to reduce shipping cost. That is why I didn't mind paying extra to mark them. Hindsight I should have paid more for shipping and only gotten the ones I wanted then I wouldn't have had to worry who was who. I specifically wanted 1 of each - barred rock, dominique, cuckoo maran, welsummer and 2 EE which would put me at the most I could keep since I already have 4 - I can "legally" keep 10 chickens in my city. The speckled sussex I ordered for someone else who has yet to return my calls! (Should have asked her to pay upfront!). The other lady who bought 5 of the chicks also wanted specific breeds - welsummer, dominique, EE, and cuckoo maran. I am thinking she may not have gotten what she wanted since we couldn't figure out who was who! She has also expressed concern!!

My hubby and mom keep telling me just to keep them all who is going to know! I guess if my neighbors come out and try to count the girls I could be in trouble, unless I rotate them in and out of the run!!. I think I am going to keep them until they fully feather out to see if I can identify them at that point and will decide then what to do. I love them all no matter what, they are so darn cute!

THANKS for all the help!!

Well I know at least in my town, the ordinances have allowances for the offspring of your livestock, or for livestock that has not reached maturity. It won't be long at all before who's who will become obvous. Probably between 4-5weeks. If you can keep them that long then pass them on to the other owners I think you'll be just fine. :)

Update - they are almost a month old now, when can you tell what breeds they are? I have barred rock, dominique, cuckoo maran, welsummer, speckled sussex, and a few others, I decided to wait and let them get a little bigger and now was wondering when should I post pics to see if anyone knows what breed they are, should I wait a little longer?

i have a bunch of welsummer chicks and they all look exactly like the first chick pictures you posted. they are the taller chipmunky ones.

I know that these are Silver Laced Wyandottes, I am wondering if they are both pullets?

First 2 pics are the same chick, waddles are larger than the other one in the last picture.

I have no idea who is who in this group, I have dominique, barred rock and cuckoo marans ( in the picture of the 3 together there are 2 that are the same with the flat comb, like in last pic).

This first picture someone told me she was a barred rock?

Below is the same chick in first pic (her name is Pepper and she is so sweet)
