I am ordering some meds and want to know what people usually keep in their chicken medicine cabinet. What is a must? What have you found to be really useful? And who is the best supplier online? I just want to be prepared. Thanks [IMG]

    I order from jefferspet.com.

    I would order

poultry protector (for mite, lice, flies)
    vetrx (relieves symptoms of illness)
avian super pack (vitamin/stress relief suppliment)
    wazine 17 (dewormer)
tylan or other antibiotic (in case of sickness/disease)
they also sell vaccines if you plan on vaccinating your flock

I would get some blu/kote for cuts. It will hide the cut an aid in healing.

    all of the above and...

I like valbazen or fenbendazole for de-worming
also Ivomec for de-worming....(and I generally have these on hands for other animals around our place anyway)
    neosporin for topical wounds
tetracycline...maybe, not really necessary because you should know what "bacterial" infection you're treating before ever dosing an antibiotic
PolyVisol without iron for chicks that fail to thrive
