What do I need to do to make my ducklings not afraid, or to like me?

This has been very helpful - I've had my month old ones for a week now and they're terrified. They aren't interested in the treats I've tried and run away before they even see I have treats, but I will give peas a shot. Do they need to be cooked?

Mine go bananas for dried meal worms. No matter how mad at me they are for existing, they'll come and eat meal worms out of my hand. As long as I don't DARE to move.

They were easier to handle when I had them inside. Now that they're in their run and there is more space for them to get away from me, they want nothing to do with me. I have been trying to sit outside their run and talk to them and get them comfortable with the idea of me being there, and then giving them treats when I come in to check on them morning and evening.

It's tough when you had an idea of how it would be in your head and then you get them and they spend all their time running away from you, but alas... c'est la vie.

Fresh peas, or canned peas or does it matter?

Fresh or frozen. Canned are too salty.
