What do I offer grit and oyster shell in?

We have tuna fish cans screwed to the wall. They bill some out onto the floor but eventually scratch around and get it all.

I put mine out in the run in a shallow clay bowl made for a clay pot. They just eat what they need after it has been available to them for a while. I have noticed that if they haven't had it available for a while they will eat way to much of it at first.

I use the tuna fish cans as well. I even got the idea from you it works very well. and you cannot get any cheaper than that.
