What do Light Brahma Chicks look like?

Just yesterday I found myself asking the same question. I went to our local farm and fleet store, saw the same breeds that I wanted and I was so excited. I got two Easter Eggers (so cute!) and what I was told by the "kid" (who clearly didn't care or know) that the last one was a Light Brahma. It wasn't until I got home that I realized there were not feathers on her feet! I went back today to find out he sold me a New Hampshire, they were mixed in with the Brahmas. So I ended up with a unplanned baby and my new Brahma chick (she is only a few days old).
They are so cute!

Thank you, baby chicks always make melt! Unfortunately, I think that the Brahmas hatch with feathered feet, but I'm definitely no expert. I would email the picks the hatchery. And I'm sure there are some experts here that can give you some information. In the meantime, have fun with your babies!

They did have my Brahmas so I made the switch but I still think my roo may not be as he has no feathers on his feet. He's 6 days old so we shall see what he is in several months for now I'm calling him Dexter

Here is my Roo Dexter. Suppose to be a light Brahma. No feathers on feet.

I know this is old, but I've been looking for this answer as well. According to the feathersite page linked above, I see splotchy chipmunk colors, yellow, light with gray blushes on the light brahma chicks, and Murray Mc Murray shows both mostly yellow and mostly black backed chicks.

My standard light from Rural King are all yellow chicks. The bantam light brahmas from Ideal were blotchy black/chipmunk colored. I'm guessing that the color genetics let all of these variations show in the chicks.
I wonder if there is a more desirable chick color depending on what color genes you're breeding for/with?

Here is a pic of one of my Light Brahmas at 9 days old. Looks a lot different than yours, Wolf! All mine are this darker shade. I guess they can vary quite a bit as chicks. Mine are from Murray McMurray. Hope this works...I am going to link from Shutterfly:

Hi, just wondering if this baby turned out looking like a Light Brahma?

What you are describing is what our Light brahmas looked like last year from TSC. Of note is that I was completely new to chickens, and they had the "White Plymouth Rock" sign up on the bin and the guy was talking to my boys at Pilgrims (preschoolers so they were clueless, but it was cute). Anyway, I got home and started looking up plymouth rocks and realized they don't have feathered feet nor do they grow out black feather tips. It took us a couple of weeks to realize we had brahmas, but it was no big deal to us. So, I think your description is dead on. They are fun birds, mine constantly have a "funny" look about them, always questioning in my opinion, very big babies they are!
Just got 2 light brahmas from tsc do you have any updated pics of yours! Curious as to size lol so I know what to plan for in the future of my coop ;) I already have a mixed breed flock of 17. Purchased 2 light Brahma a polish (buff laced I believe not sure) and an australorp. The last 2 my daughter picked for her 4h project next year and we had to get 4 so I snagged 2 straight run light brahmas on a whim :)
