What do rotten eggs look like candled?

Day 15 - I am planning to candle all 12 of the eggs my hen is sitting on later on today. What would rotten egg look like at this stage?

If they are no good they will not have veins sometimes you can smell it. You can post pics here and we can help you

I do not think I will manage to get picture of the candled egg. I will candle them all when it gets dark, and will sniff them then

I’ve also heard that broody will kick the eggs out of thier rotten

Yes, I heard that too; well so far none are expelled. Fingers crossed.

The contents will also be really loose. Some people think when it is really loose..."I can see it moving around in the egg..." It may mean there is just too much fluid and you are the one moving it when trying to candle.

Look for veins by the air cell. No veins, and cloudy most likely dead egg. Below is a dead egg.

Blue egg same age with veins. Blue egg is good.

I would guess these eggs are about day 12-14.

I could not get pictures of most of the eggs; they were so dark the camera could not focus. But couple were not right, and I was able to take photos
