What do we think about this guy hatching 100's of supermarket eggs for likes on Youtube?

Is it irresponsible to attempt to hatch supermarket eggs?

I see nothing immoral about it. Any more than hatching dozens or hundreds for vanity's sake. Trying to meet the SOP, or get a particular color or tail set or whatever. It's just ... what breeders do.
Breeders don't generally take over 100 birds to an animal sanctuary and expect them to take care of them.

This is not your poll question.
I have no issue with trying to hatch supermarket eggs. I do have an issue with irresponsible breeding/production
Yes! chickens (and other animals) should be encountered with respect.

Normal supermarket eggs are not fertile. I think its a prank and an annoying person (saw the first 1/2 minute).

I don’t necessarily think it’s immoral — people have their own reasons for doing things. Chickens are, after all, considered livestock (even if I personally treat mine like royal children). They hold different meanings for everyone.

I don't know if they will actually hatch- or if its a big scam (because everyone loves those stupid clicks).

That said, it would be wonderful if they could go to low-income households that are truly prepared for game keeping and free-ranging. It offers both an educational opportunity and a genuine nutritional benefit in our whole-food protein deficient world.

What happens with the rest of the eggs? waste of food. BTW: with egg costs, this is an expensive experiment.

Edit: chicken / quail. He is hatching gamefowl- quail. What this the difference between that, and say, a game farm, where they are bred to be shot by weekend warrior hunters?

Even if we did think it was irresponsible, what would/ could we do about it? Is there an egg-hatching police we could alert about it? Or alert someone that he is wasting supermarket eggs? What harm is he doing? 🤷🏽‍♀️ I don't see the problem or what you're mad about.
Im not sure where these eggs come from. But in the Netherlands all standard eggs in the supermarket come from
chickens who are packed up in huge stables. This is a kind of animal abuse IMHO.

Throwing away eggs of abused chickens who only live 18-20 months to supply eggs to consumers even is a step beyond. Respect level 0 towards chickens.

I realise now that this guy makes money if we look at the video. I don’t like what he is doing and I urge people not to watch the video to give him an income.
