What Do Yall Do With Your Old Bedding?

I use sand so only have poo but we're throwing it out into the yard as we're planning on turning the soil and seeding just before rainy season.

I compost it in a 30 gallon blue plastic barrel and then will use it on the gardens in the fall and till it in.

Questions of my own?

How long would it be best to let it sit (from fresh) to using it in a garden?

Would it be ok to use it in a vegatable garden?

Probably best to compost and mix it in, in the fall.....

ours goes into a pile and then gets thrown in the spreader when it is time to spread manure it all goes on the fields.

i thought i read somewhere that pine shavings don't compost well. anyone?

I spread a huge amount on my asparagus to see if I could help it. the rest is piled at the base of an Elderberry tree. hope it gives it better fruit

Mine either goes onto the gigantic horse manure pile, or I spread it between the rows in the garden like mulch.
