Hi there I have a three year old German shepherd and she is getting this cloudy stuff in both her eyes I think it my be cateracts forming but I'm not sure. I'm going to take her to the vet but I just wanted to know what y'all think it might be. Sorry the pic is not that good lol she was trying to take a nap. I circled the cloudy spot.

My 2 year old German Shepherd was just diagnosed with Pannus, a common GSD eye disease. Redness and cloudiness is a sign of it, definitely take her to the vet, Pannus affects both eyes at the same time. I treat mine with prescription eye drops and eye ointment twice daily for the rest of his life. I hope you get good news :hugs
Thank you I'm hoping it's nothing bad, she has not has any redness around her eye at all so maybe it's nothing to bad unless its cateracts

Does sort of look like a cataract. Is it just the one eye? It could also be a scar from an injury. The vet will be able to tell. Sometimes scaring will resolve or diminish with time and anti-inflammatory drops. If it's either of those, she should get around fine with one good eye. She's very young to have a cataract, it might be a good idea to have her blood checked, diabetes is one cause of cataracts in younger dogs. Hopefully it is nothing serious and she is fine. Good luck, and keep us posted.
