what do yall use to crack whole corn????

I use a vintage cast iron hand crank butter nut grinder to process my corn. Baught it at a 2nd hand store for about $10.00, very similar looking to Matt44644's grinder

The only thing that I do differently though, is that I simmer/cook the corn for 1 hour them let it sit in the warm water for about 4 - 6 hours. When I cook it up I do a weeks worth and store it in the fridge and grind it in the morning as a treat in the winter months. Works really great for the small flock (10 - 15 chickens) that I keep

Though I know it's more work than what most people may want to do, but figured you might still find it interesting. The cooking method is known as nixtamalization.
