I think it's a classic example of cutting off your nose to spite your face. Fighting wrong with wrong doesn't help the cause at all. Just another group of extremists if you ask me.

No not relley DDOSing is illegal but hacking it's may not be illiegal depending where you live

Anonymous shows us what we think is strong is wheek. And what we think is right is wrong. Phase one is begging soon.

Goverenments do not get it! We are a relvoution and have the power to change. If government takes down the internet simpley take down the government. It is about true freedom of speech and not capped "Fredom of speach". One way or another the governemnts well change... One way or another we well see a difference. I support Anonymous. I well allways support them.

While I like the idea and have no problem with this sort of protest/action, I don't trust it. Who is the driving force behind this group? Spooks hide all around this kind of thing. Look at the person they're helping. The only reason Aussange isn't in jail right now is he worked out a deal with the CIA and other government orgs to cut out any of the truly damaging pieces of intel. If they arrest him, they are published. What don't we know that we could and should? This isn't the Pentagon Papers, it's a bait and switch and I'm not willing to take it and run.

Maybe I'm an extremest but I personally have nothing against wikileaks. Knock me down if you want to but where is freedom of the press? So as for wikileaks, as far as they getting information and publishing it, I have no problem with it, even if it means it may be top secret information. I really do believe that if you cannot make a system secure, or if you cant trust someone, maybe the information shouldn't be there in the first place. We all have enemies in this world, if these people can hack all of this stuff, it's time we stop crying and wining about it and start doing the job right, make it more secure!

As for hacking, in Canada, yes it is illegal. DDOS is also illegal.

Those are my personal views on the situation, maybe it will cause some heated discussion but that's what I think about it.

Hacking is illegal. Wrong is wrong. Don't justify treason as ok just because someone was able to access the information. I believe very strongly in a free press, freedom of speech, right to bear arms ect... but I also believe if you break a law you must pay a penalty. I also believe that the penalty should fit the crime and not be time served in a place where they get free extracurricular activities, tv viewing time & free education beyond high school since I am paying for their incarceration through taxes. If you don't like the law then work to make legal lasting changes to it. It can be done and it starts with integrity and ethics in each and every person. I do not support hackers that work to take down anyone for anything they think is justified. It is suddenly a mass of hackers (& we don't really know their agenda) telling us what we should think, do, or learn and is that making positive changes to our world? No.
