Crawdad or crayfish.

I call them dinner though! We did this for the first time last year, a crawdad boil and dang it was good! Kids had so much fun catching them and keeping them alive, so much fun!

Around here I hear crayfish, crawfish and crawdad. Personally I prefer Crayfish or crawfish but I probably use crawdad the most since it seems to be the most common around here.
I’m from Alabama btw.

That is very unfortunate given how close you live to the sea. You should be able to get very fresh seafood that those of us living inland can not.

Oh yeah we do but I’m just not a fan. Although tbf I haven’t really tried much I probably should. But I’m weird with textures and had a bad experience with rubbery lobster once and yeah. In my mind, it’s all rubbery

I'm not a big fan of lobster claw meat for that reason. The tails are entirely different.
