What do you collect your eggs in?

At the moment I only have one of my 16 laying but they others are close to it. I've just taken one of my old easter baskets and glued some stuffing on the bottom and around the edges then put some shreds of fabric in it (for looks if nothing else lol) and I don't think it will break the eggs or anything.
I guess it would kind of depend on how many chickens you have though.

I have a couple of these plastic coated wire baskets in various shapes and colors. They rinse off easily and I keep one in each coop. I take any empty one down to the coop and leave it there all day, putting eggs in them as I find them, then bring them back to the house in the evening. I picked these up at yard sales for 25 cents each.

Google "egg baskets." There are a number of suppliers.

I bought the one I have at either eggboxes.com or eggcartons.com I no longer recall which one now.

I collect the few eggs I get in the evening (usually 0-2). I just use the food/water bowl that I bring into the house for cleaning and refilling.

I collect mine in the cartons. I hatch eggs for people so I never know when someone will want some chicks. The eggs are safer in the cartons don't get bumped around. Plus, I sell the eggs so I only handle them once.

I just use an old basket that I think a flower arrangement came in. It's wooden and very sturdy with a solid handle. I put a folded hand towel in the bottom and it works great for my currently 14 laying hens.

My pockets much of the time (only broke one, because I tripped.) If I find a bunch of eggs and am without a container, a "basket" made from gathering up the hem of my t shirt. If I'm organized that day, an old Ziploc container. One of these days I'll find a pretty straw basket with a handle.

My daughter wants something she can use to collect eggs on the four wheeler. We have chickens spread out in lots of places she likes to ride from coop to coop to barn. She has tried using a messenger style bag & cracked some eggs. I can't think of any way to keep the eggs from getting knocked together on the four wheeler. Maybe if I zip strip a milk crate on the back & she could put egg cartons in it.
