I am a Histotechnologist. Histology is the study of disease. When a patient has surgery the tissue is sent to a Pathologist. I make microscope slides for Pathologist's to interperate.
I have done it for 21 years and still love the work.
I run a dental lab, and my husband is a former cabinet maker turned ranch hand for a large local ranch. We also have what we like to call a "private rescue". That just means that most of the animals that we rescue tend to stay on with us forever! We have rescued many critters, from emus to longhorn cows, but right now we have mini horses and many dogs. Our real love is our birds, and we raise chickens, turkeys, pheasants, and have a couple cockatiels in the house.
