I have been a rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service for the past 12 years. LOVE my job!!!

I am still in school right now, but I am thinking about being a farmer, politician, or lawyer. . I still have a bit to make a decision, but I really have no idea. I like being outside and being with animals, but I also like money and I think I am capable of getting it if I make good choices. I am trying to decide what would work best for me before I choose what classes to take in high school.

Currently I am a Facility Mechanic for a large bakery. Prior to that I was a self employed contractor doing turn key homes. I spent 15 years doing law enforcement full time-retiring as Chief of Police in my local municipality.

I am the proverbial "Jack of all trades...Master of none!"

I am a disabled stay at home Domestic Goddess. I am the top dog, cat slave, and Rooster. The animals keep me moving, otherwise I would give up. DH has a very good job, and he is often on the road.

I work from home quilting quilts for a living. I also make cat quilt and sell them on ebay once or twice a year. I am for the most part retired.


Previous work

Worked on a lobster boat for a number of years. It was a family business. . best hard job
Worked as a housekeeper..sweaty hard job
worked as a certified nurses aid..rewarding job
woked in a lobster trap company building lobster traps..ok job
worked in a shoe shop..boring job
worked at labrees bakery decorating cakes..fun job.
worked at a cassette shop making jewel cases for cd's....so so job.

Most of these places closed. Maine does not have any good jobs anymore. Most of the factories have closed. Sad.

Just read this entire thread, and it's kind of cool knowing what all of you'll do when you're not playing with your chickens.

I'm a retired RN; spent most of my nursing career in surgical units, then long-term care facilities.

Now I get to play nurse to my 89 yr old FIL

....part time nurse to my husband....full time mommy to a flock of Silkies

.....and when it's not freezing outside, I get to play in the dirt (flower gardening)
