What do you do for a living?

My job is to take care of a 4, 5 and 7 year old. Bus duty, backpacks checked, mittens found and driving everyone to their activities. I also support my leading man in his job making sure that home life is mostly smooth sailing.

Stay at home mom would be the title!

...I am a SAHM, I sleep most of the day and the rest of it I sit on the couch watching soap operas, eating chocolate. I have magical fairies that come and do the laundry, wash dishes, clean the house, cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner,..... grocery shop, pay the bills and balance the budget. PLUS,...they take care of all the critters, do the yard work and take the trash out.

For 14 years I was a commercial design artist for woven fabrics, wallpaper, and other textiles. After NAFTA most of the work went to Mexico, so I went back to school to pursue an RN degree. I worked part time in a local hospital for a year as a phlebotomist. I finished my first year nursing, and my DH had an awful accident that left me to start a home based business. I opened a Bakery and I sell fabulous cakes, pies, and other culinary delights. I am skilled at sugar craft flowers and have created some beautiful beautiful wedding cakes as well. I raise Jersey Wooly and Fuzzy Lop rabbits as a hobby. I love my Bunnies! I'm licensed to rehabilitate eastern cottontail rabbits as well. I also raise beautiful chickens and sell eggs. I like farming better than baking. I have too many dishes to wash!
I love being outdoors!

I'm a dog trainer. Fpr many years I did a lot of rescue, but now two of mine are really getting up in age and bringing in new dogs would stress them out, so taking a bit of a break from rescue for the time being. My business expanded 9 years ago to include pet sitting. People with dogs that aren't dog or human friendly sometimes have a hard time boarding their dogs, so that's how that part of the business began. Of course, I sit for many friendly critters too

Because I grew up on a farm and live in the country, I often take care of horses, cattle, goats, donkeys, and of course, some chickens. Growing up, we didn't have fowl, we bartered with a nearby farmer for chicken and eggs in exchange for beef ande pork, so I didn't have much experience with chickens. Taking care of a lot of free-range chickens (penning them at night and turning them out in the morning) for clients made me realize all chickens weren't as neurotic as some Guinea Hens, which traumatized me as a kid. So now, I have chickens - and I really have become attached to those girls!

I'm a physician married to a lawyer with two daughters, 1 year and 6 years old. I wish one of us was handier with power tools because I need a bigger chicken run. We're all allergic to dogs and cats, but we currently have 14 chickens, 1 hamster, 2 saltwater reef aquariums and way too much to do.
