What do you do to get chooks feathers back

I've also tried one brand of chicken saddles, but they aren't working at all. The best luck I had was just keeping them separate. The fuzzy feathers started coming back pretty quickly, but they are gone again...thinking the chick saddles would protect them. Wrong

Maybe another style of saddle that doesn't get bunched up?

I made a saddle once, but it is just to hot to put it on my hens here. That would be the best option.
