What do you do to tell your chickens apart?

I'm using ziptie bands, but am still working out just how to keep track over time.

I know people with the same chicken use bands a lot but honestly I notice such a difference in each chicken I don't understand why like I guess because they don't pay much attention to them or something?

I can barely recognize people and get them connected to their names, much less chickens.
