What do you do when you are bored?

. It will give me something to do.

This is what I found on embroidering: Embroidery is the art or handicraft of decorating fabric or other materials with needle and thread or yarn. Embroidery may also incorporate other materials such as metal strips, pearls, beads, quills, and sequins. A characteristic of embroidery is that the basic techniques or stitches of the earliest work—chain stitch, buttonhole or blanket stitch, running stitch, satin stitch, cross stitch—remain the fundamental techniques of hand embroidery today

I also found this...I think all us BYCers will love. Embroidered Eggs!

You are now smarter than you were before. Isn't it great how that works. I can give you 50 homeschooling points for that bit of information.

I will usually cook, or bake, bake, bake.

I am not a good cook...at all!

That is just a case of reading a cookbook and following the directions, well and then practice. My favorite cookbook is Fannie Farmer, it has never let me down. Well except for not having any Asian recipes.

I think he gets an 'A' on this for inititative & becuase of the eggs, what do you think JustBugged? I would've given him an A+ if he'd put it in his own words!
The eggs are awesome.

Works for me. So add an A to the points.

Justbugged: Thank you for the "A or 50 points"!

Ok, you guys I need some help! I am getting 15 standard chicks (cuckoo marans, buttercups, e.e., and sumatras) in May from McMurray. I am still bored, so I thought I might build a brooder! My question is how big of a brooder should I need to hold them for 5-6 weeks? I have looked through almost all of the brooder thread

and I can't really find anything.

I bake! lol This week I was stuck in the house with 2 sick kids that slept all day, plus 2 ft of snow outside. I have made:

2 Angel food cakes
cinnamon rolls
bread
Chocolate Meringue Pie
Pretzels

plus with my other cooking I have been staying busy. My hubby works for a road dept and they have been working very long hours pushing snow, so they have really appreciated my snacks.

Also I play games on Facebook, blog, and watch movies on netflix. Along with other farm duties...chickens, calves, hauling wood. etc.etc etc.

Love online poker. My mother in law is a dealer in Vegas, and she taught me to deal too. Hubby and I play online all the time. For fake money and real money. We put like $10 on the account and play tournaments for like $1.20. I won $21.40 the other night in a real money tourney. Not bad for only a $1.20 buy in.
