what do you do with dead eggs?

What you don't want to do is crouch over them and crack them to see what happened. 'Sploders aren't fun. I speak from experience that you will NEVER get that smell out of your hair! I'm pretty sure it burnt all my nose hairs out.

The ones under a hen get tossed on the compost heap (from far, far away). The ones in the bator get carefully sealed up in a ziplock. Carefully being the operative word there...

The chicks go to my snakes, if there is yolk left on the chicks, I break it off and put it in a dish for my mice and rats. My mice are usually always pregnant or lactating, so it's good for them, plus they like it. Egg shells themselves get thrown to the dogs. If they die in the first week, or they never developed at all, I throw them in a pot of water and boil them up for the birds or the rodents.

Sometimes I walk them out to the pasture and then open them.

me too.. which isn't usually that far, but I try..

We place ours in ziplock baggies and throw them in the garbage. For the simple reason that I don't need to attract unwanted visitors. Preditors are hard enough to keep away without the extra temptation of "nibblets" laying in a bush or pasture somewhere louring them up. This is what personally works for me.

I take them out into our burn pile and use a big stick or rock to crush them. Then, the next time my grandma burns the rubbish, the chickie gets creamated, too!
