What do you do with the eggs that don't hatch?

How many days past 21 do you wait to turn of incubator? What do you do with those eggs, crack them open to see when they stopped developing or just throw away??

It is day 24, 10 hatched out and no pips on any of the rest. I have about 15 left

I've done both. Sometimes I want to know what happened, but this year I was satisfied with my hatch (24/36) so I just took them out and fed them to the barn cat. I don't know if she ate them or not. I'll go check one of these days and if they're still there I'll just throw them in the trees.

Please candle before you crack any open. I do crack open a few if they are very developed just to see what could have happened in there. If the eggs candle clear or almost clear, I boil them, cut 'em up and feed them to the chickens for extra protein and love! As gross as that sounds to some people, believe me when I say that your chickens eat much more disgusting things than that.

We set lots of eggs. I candle on day 10 for chickens, day 15 for ducks and guineas. Any that candle clear are hard boiled and crushed with a potato masher, shells and all, and fedback to the chickens as an extra protein boost.
Any others that don't hatch by the day after hatch day get thrown in the trash.
The only time I ever open one is if I have a very bad hatch and then just to get an idea what's going on.

How can I tell if it is going to be a stinky egg? Afraid that I will get a stench. Is it a bad egg smell really that bad anyway?

Its pretty bad past 28 days, if is a rot throw it in the woods !!! some critter will love you for it ....

Hey guys i have a ?.....i had my hen start sitting on some eggs ,this was her first time...she shared her sitting time with another chicken...she hatched one n i moved her n the baby n 3 other eggs to a diff pen ....i know theres a baby in the 3 eggs but the aint hatched....what do i need to do next time
