I don't know how I feel about these comments. I can't imagine just throwing one of my girls in a compost pile or the trash or just whiling it to the woods.
We are but mere humans & therefore no judgements on this thread. Everyone’s location & situation is different.

That’s why this thread exists, to explore the unique ways we handle these difficult situations. A good example is the gator post. Alligators are so far from my reality that I can barely wrap my head around it, however they are a daily situation for others. I find it absolutely fascinating!

I have enjoyed hearing all of the variation this thread provides. Would I dispose of my birds in the same way as another? I don’t know, because I have never walked in their shoes. I don’t know what their location & challenges with disposal might be. Let’s embrace each other’s uniqueness & learn from it if we can.:hugs

Thank you

How long does it usually take to get one done?
Depends on the taxidermist's workload. Most of the time it's usually 3/4 months. He's had my guinea for quite a while though. Hoping she's done and he just hasn't said anything. Knowing him, he's making sure she's perfect. He is my best friend's DH's bestie. Super sweet guy.
