What do you do with your egg shells after you crack them?

We rinse/dry them & keep until I have a full container of them, then toss them in the blender & pulse them until they are ground up somewhere around the size of coffee grounds. I sprinkle this around the base of my plants in the gardens. We keep the extras in the freezer. Helps keep the creepy crawlies from eating up my veggie plants

I put mine in my compost bin, but I like the ideas of grinding them up and putting in a planting hole-I think I'll start doing that. Thanks for the idea.

If I'm cracking them for myself, I toss the shells in the compost bucket which ultimately goes to my garden. If I'm making the chickens scrambled eggs, I crumble the shells and throw them right in for added calcium.

I was rinsing and when I had a bunch, baking them before crushing them to feed back to the girls. But, wow, was the smell of baking egg shells gross! So, then I just started crushing them. Then one day I noticed how cool the different colored eggs shells looked all crushed together and I started thinking art projects...so now I'm separating colors before crushing. Wish I had more colors now...
