I drive a 2004 Jeep wrangler. DH has a 2001 Jeep wrangler, a 80-something Chevy truck (the farm truck), a 1986 GMC custom truck, a 2005 Peace Officers Special Edition Fatboy Harley Davidson and most of the time his butt is parked in a Ford Crown Vic (his patrol car).
My hubby drives a sky blue '76 Chevy 4x4 truck. The wiring is all messed up, it has a broken headlight, the wipers don't work, the fan on the heater/defroster doesn't work, and the seat is padded with towels where it's down to the springs in the seats. But it runs like a dream, and it does a good job of hauling trash to the dump. Plus the teenage boys feel tough in it!
I drive a '90 Toyota Corolla, because it gets 40mpg and I drive 60 miles round trip to work. We paid $800 for it last year, and I love it! It's peppy and fun to drive. The teenagers drive a '90 Mitsubishi Mirage that we bought at a police auction for $300. It's a beater, but just what teenage boys need, IMHO.
Our family vehicle is a 2004 Chevy Express 15-passenger van. I LOVE that van. It drives so smoothly, and the kids don't have to touch each other when we're driving in it (which really helps control fights on road trips
). And baby, does that thing have some get-up-and-go! I am invincible in that van!
My hubby's work vehicle is a 2009 Chevy Tahoe pursuit package (his patrol car). That thing is amazing! I didn't know a big SUV could hug the road and move like that... it really makes him love his job!
Hubby currently driving a 90-something f-150 4x4 auto and hates it, he's on the search still for a f-250 diesel stick 4x4. Been looking for one over a year now.
My transportation is a 96 mercury villager minivan
dh drives a 92 Jeep cherokee
and we have a never driven except to shows 1978 Ford f150 pickup truck that is more orignial than not, it only has 65000 original miles on it, it belonged to Dhs Granddaddy, then his Dad now him.
