What do you feed chickens from 8 to 18 weeks old?

What do you feed chickens from 8 to 18 weeks old. I know you feed chick starter from 1-8 weeks.
I used to feed just plain scratch from 8 to 18 weeks, im just know learning that that's not enough protein for a chicken.

I use chick starter grower until they start to lay then l switch them to layer feed. I have had no problems at all. Some people get all scientific about it but it's just chickens. People have been raising chickens for a long time, before all this science came in to play. KISS (keep it simple stupid) is my philosophy.

chicken starter until they are old enough to lay. (16-18 weeks) Too much calcium and not enough protein in the layer feed is what I have been told.
