what do you feed chicks to insure they live?

I think you will have good luck then. Right now, I have chicks ordered, (I wanted Delawares, and my mother gave me birthday money) so I have my fingers crossed. For the last 7 years, I have had a hen go broody at the end of May, first part of June..... so that is when I ordered the chicks to come.

I can raise them up separately, but then you have that whole introduction issue that is such a mess. It just works better if they can all be together.
