What do you feed your ducks?

I keep track of eggs on a flock app on my phone. It was mind boggling how much that helped me realize it wasn't the feed. We got that crazy winter storm right before Christmas with -40s windchill and all that garbage. I put tarps upall over my coop/run so they had basically ZERO daylight in the coop. Within about 24-36 hours of being stuck inside to keep them safe from the horrible temps, egg production PLUMMETTED. Because... NO DAYLIGHT. Then stayed low for about a month. Just this past week I saw egg production increase again. Because... more daylight.
I got the temps. That was insane. 🥶

Which app? I just have one for tracking egg weight.

Edited: My new geese get kale, tomatoes, bananas, apples, peas, etc. daily in addition to pellets because there just isn't much grass right now where they are. Won't be long until that changes, though.
This is us. Not much grass left 😞 I've been opening my gate to my raised garden beds to let then dig around and hunt for grub for stimulation....

It’s super easy. I just put in a “bulk egg count” per day. Here’s my December count. The bad weather started that Thursday (which is when they got locked inside with virtually no daylight for their safety) and you can see by Saturday egg counts plummeted …
