What do you get when you cross a pea comb with a buttercup comb?

I tried to search this, and found a lot of nice info on comb genetics, but nowhere did it discuss how these two comb genetics interact.

I did find that pea is dominant over straight, and buttercup is (I think) semi-dominant over straight, but it did not say where buttercup would fit in between pea and straight.

I hope I put this in the right forum. I'm hoping for a somewhat scientific answer, if anyone knows the genetics on this. It seems that buttercup is controlled by more than one locus?

Thank you.

You are right. I do not know. I could not find much info about this, either.

Nice find, thanks for posting the link.

I do have birds that either have D or Dc- they're mixed breed with Houdan being part of the mix.. had assumed it was D however have a rooster that has a perfect double comb... and hens with what looks like poor imitation of buttercup- single in front and a buttercup form in the rear part... so what is it?

Well, it did say that both the v comb and buttercup comb were incomplete dominant over singe comb, so it kind of sounds like your hens have the dominant part only affecting the back.
