What do you give your chicks for treats?

Mine love corn on the cob, cooked or raw, they don't care. Watch your fingers!

Are these very young chicks, like 3 days? If so, they need about as much chick starter as they will eat. A little mashed hard boiled egg is ok, and some plain live culture yogurt is a very good idea, as it builds gut flora in them, which chicks being raised by a mama get from the mama. Probably best to save most other treats til they are a little older. You might have to mix the yogurt with a bit of chick feed to get them started on it.

mine eat whatever I'm eating! ( unless I think it might be too salty or sugary... I try to keep them healthy )

Mine love cottage cheese and plain yogurt. It's fun watching them wipe the extra food off their beaks as they are eating. Oh, and leftover steamed rice is another favorite.

Does anyone know if it is okay to feed my hens some fresh blueberries?

Chick starter, water and grit.

I find that if I give young birds anything other than their basic food, it makes it more likely that they will come down with a digestive or respiratory problem.

I've done cantaloupe, yogurt (Plain), cabbage, lettuce, and kale from the restuarants, grapes, boxelder bugs

. We have all kinds of baby ones and i scoop them up and throw them into their coop...they go crazy!

I've read that it might not be a good idea to feed your chickens raw egg with the shells, because that might train them to consider their own eggs as food when they grow up and begin laying them. Scrambled or crushed hardboiled egg doesn't look like what they lay, so that's fine.
