The other day I made it home from a friend's house too late, and all 7 chickens were on my front porch, sound asleep, on the bannister. My 6-year old son and I picked them up, one by one, (even our big, mean rooster), and carried them into their coop.
I love how utterly helpless they are, when they're asleep (and it worries me, too, at the same time).

I like alll the different personalities! One is plucky, one is sweet, some are shy. They are all so different. They way they come running for treats is a good one too...

I like the way looking for their eggs makes me feel like I'm on a Easter Egg Hunt everyday of the year!
