I've recently been interested in breeding my own chickens instead of buying them. Could anybody help me figure what you need to breed your own chickens?

You need hens and a rooster, of course, an incubator to hatch them or a reliable broody hen (incubator is better if you want to hatch on your own terms), a brooder to raise the chicks in, a plan to integrate the chicks into your flock, and a plan for what you're going to do with the extras that you don't need, especially a plan for what you'll do with the extra cockerels you hatch.

And of course enough space in the coop and run for all the new birds you intend to keep.

Oh okay, thank you for the help :)

What i do is i have a incubator, of course a rooster and a hen, a brooder (place to
put chick in after it hatches) and when the chick is grown up (if you want it for show) sell the parents if it’s better than them!! Basically what pxis said!!
