What do you raise on your Farm?

We breed thoroughbred race horses in the heart of the bluegrass. Most of the horses are for clients, so yes, we do board as well, but the boarders are all mares, babies, yearlings, and lay-ups. We have horses from all over the country that come in to get bred to KY stallions. We help them get their mares in foal, and then some ship back home, and others live with us all year. We foal out mares for our year round clients, and foal outside mares too. We don't stand any stallions, but take the mares to the stallions, breed and return to the farm. Our pleasure horses are a mixed bag, and we enjoy several different disciplines. We also have one very expensive cutting horse for a client, that we just did an embryo transfer on last Mon. Keeping our fingers crossed!!!!
We are very fortunate to have so many wonderful horses in out lives!!!

We aren't sleeping much these days, which is why I can post at 3 a.m.!!!!!

I just want ONE! lol

The pheasants were a spur of the moment thing. Only paid $2.15 each. I figure we will grow them out for dinner. I don't think I want to keep them caged all the time. Hard enough doing it with quail. I want to see them all over my property and I can't.
They should be the ring neck variety.

Here we have
3 horses a.ka. lawn ornaments
2 sheep
5 pigs- one pot belly (pet) one wild hog we bottle fed (pet) and three freezer bound
4 turkeys-one of my hens went broody on ten eggs today

30 chickens
2 rabbits
7 dogs
9 cats
and a garden
Really all I ever wanted was a horse when I was little. Something went terribly wrong.
