What do you say when you are mad or frustrated?

Its german, so not too many folks understand it when i cuss. But i usually say " Oh leck mich doch am A...(rear end) ,kruzi tuerken, dunnerkeilswetternumoalna. The last two are in dialect so they are kind off untranslatable.

My best friend and I came up with a lot of different things growing up, which have stuck with me now that I have kids. I say "oh hay bales", "son of a goat", and the all original "crap".

Mom always said that people who resort to cursing do so because they don't have the mental faculties or an extensive enough vocabulary so that they can adequately express themselves. I say Mom's so wrong. I have a rather prodigious vocabulary and I use the occasional curse word to ENHANCE my vocabulary. When you splash hot tomato juice all over yourself while you're juicing tomatoes a golly, gee whiz simply doesn't properly express the stupidity you need to address for being in that situation or the pain which is shocking while as your skin peels off like a tomato skin. You need a good solid CUSS word. When I do something that's just stupid or I'm trying to find the humor in the situation which otherwise looks pretty sorry I say "shucky darn" because it makes me smile.

Our curse at work is "pox!!" which covers all sorts of situations. At home "for ..............'s sake!!" seems to do. Fill in the blank with differing degrees of bad word!!

The good old "brown word" is great for all occasions
Frac for when I did something stupid
Frickity Frackity for the same
frikkin' frackin - etc
there's a much more colorful one I use that is not the word "Frack"

but, the brown word is the one I usually use and give up for Lent.

Must admit- my goal for 2010 is to quit cussing like a sailor. So, for now, I have nothing, but I am going to try a few, like Lord love an irish duck, that one is sticking I think. Thanks!

Must admit I also use "Frac" - am a BSG fan

and the word is good said sharp and hard or long and drawn out.

We have parrots - no human kids - and my Grey girl Alvin loves to pick-up on my frequent mumblings or outbursts. The current favorite are "WHAT!", "QUIT" and "Go Away"
