Thanks all! Great ideas so far. There have been several things mentioned I didn't think of that I know I would love to have out there.

And wait, what?? You all keep your chickens in your coops? My husband will be thrilled when he hears we can move the 23 chicks out of our living room.

I keep my feed in a small metal trash can with tight fitting lid. I only buy enough for a couple weeks with the idea that I'm getting them fresh feed at the store, right??? I also have a large flower pot that houses cardinal seed that the girls like. I use a larger terra cotta saucer as a lid--completely squirrel and critter proof. I also have an old wooden night stand in there that houses medicines, baby oil (good to help with mites), antibiotic liquid or cream, cotton swabs, baby wet wipes, and a box of rubber gloves (rat trap removal). The coop is also our storeroom so we have those big plastic bins with lids that hold extra keepsakes and Christmas stuff in the back area. Hens have front area.

Besides roosts and nesting boxes, 3 galvanized cans; 1 for shavings, 1 for scratch and 1 for feed..the stuff I know I'll use daily and don't want to hump back and forth between the yard and garage and everyday tools are behind the coop out of sight.
