Really? I think so too, but there are a lot of people who have successfully bred them, so i've heard.It's an impossibility.
Sounds like a set up, looks like photo shop, and does a disservice to both species.. also would produce only mules if even possible.. though the ladies (muscovy X mallard for example) are still reported to lay eggs they just won't ever be fertile for hatching.What do you think about duckens?

I expect the cross could only be done one way.. with a rooster over a duck hen.. otherwise a chicken hen is bound to be injured by mating with a drake. Otherwise, possibly artificial insemination.
Okay, the more comments I see about duckens makes me reconsider...It's fake. Like crossing a hummingbird to a sparrow
It's an impossibility. Chromosome count is too disparate to produce offspring.
