85% of conservative's disagreed with the bail out. Conservatives represent about 40% of voting age Americans and about 48% of people that vote.
Yes Obama has let a lot slide by as far as the bail out went. The 1st half was already distributed when he took office and he didn't have any control of it. The 2nd half was distributed on his watch and it appears that it was no better controlled that the 1st half. Seems like the companies involved spent the money to cover their personal interest's vs the interests of the tax payers. Unlike AIG and some of the other banks, GM and Chrysler were given loans with interest in the company as collateral. Unlike the bail outs we will probably see our money back. According to the execs at those 2 companies they are not being run by Uncle Sam.
