With all of the pictures and posts about wood ducks it really makes you want one. I bet just the duck board will increase their popularity.

when people come to see my ducks (I HAVE 92 out of that mostly pairs) they like manderins and wood ducks for the exotics, but for domestics definetly indian runners.

Obviously the most popular duck in the world is the pekin.I have mallards a pekin and am going to get a male muscovy to cross with the pekin to make a good meat duck.

There was a loong post a month or more back where everyone counted how many ducks we all had. I don't remember if we were listing the breeds but if so half the work is done.

ive got a pekin and a cayuga. i had four pekins before.

I'd say Pekins are the most common breed in the world, because they are the main commercial breed. However, here on BYC, I'd say that Muscovies, Calls, and Runners are the most common/popular (just like everyone else said - I'm feeling a little redundant).

I have: 1 McMurray's "Jumbo" Pekin, 2 Khaki Campbells, 6 Dark Campbells, 2 Indian Runners, 2 Mallards, and 2 Dutch Hookbills (more on the way from Holderread's in the spring - I'm DYING waiting to get them!)
