These 'girls' are about 8 weeks old. Their combs are different. They are both Silver Laced Wyandottes. One has a more spikey comb and one is more flat. Does this mean the spikey comb one could be a roo? The one on the left is the one in question....

They both look like hens.
A spikey comb makes no difference as for gender. A "spikey" comb may indicate that she has a different type of comb. For instance the bird on the left looks to have a single comb vs. the bird on the right who has a rose comb.

Good luck with them!

Wyandottes are supposed to have the rose comb, the flat comb. That's the "correct" comb for the breed. Sometimes you get straight combed birds, it's just a thing that pops up once in a while in the breed. Those birds both look female.

Thanks so much for your replies! And I am happy to hear they both look like hens! :) What would be a good indicator of rooster looks at this age in a chicken? Would there be a more pronounced 'waddle' and would the comb/waddle be redder?

I am leaning towards the one on the right being a roo. Cehck to see if he has a lot of white on his shoulders that usually indicated boy and he does have waddle starting. these are things I see in my BLRW as they are growing out that indicate roo.
