What do you think is wrong? What should I do?

@azygous did you notice how this pullets toe is pointing upwards?

@Lawrence Lovestock is there any swelling around that area, or an area that is warmer than the rest of the foot? I just experienced a limping pullet. She's a marans cross, so a regular sized bird with the most beautiful and darkest black legs. I couldn't find anything other heat coming from her foot but no deformity or swelling, so I'm not sure if this is the same thing. Since my pullet is a really shy and nervous girl, I decided to keep her in her flock, as she was staying in the henhouse on roosting bars, away from the majority of activity. I didn't medicate in hopes that would keep her from overusing the injured foot. I did check on her very often. She started mingling around again in about 3 days, but still limping. She slowly improved in about 1.5 weeks. I'm not advocating for being medication free, as they must really be in a large amount of pain to show it. Chickens generally hide things really well. I really struggled with trying to decide to medicate with baby aspirin or not.

Sending you warmest wishes for your beautiful pullets recovery
