So, I took a good long look at my HOA for information about chickens. Turns out - it doesn't mention chickens or fowl at all! Here is what it does say.
Permitted Animals: Typical household pets, such as dogs, cats, fish, and caged birds.
Additionally, it mentions pets cannot be kept for commercial or food purposes.
Now, while I do intend on eating their eggs, I definitely don't plan on eating my chickens! Suppose I get a few Seramas in a coop with a run - do you think I'm "legal?" That is technically a cage, yes? And "typical" household pet is so subjective!
