What do you think my mutt is made of?

This is Raisin! He is a 4.5 y/o shelter dog (got him when he was a puppy). He is 50 lbs. A lot of people try to guess what he is when they see him. Any guesses out there?

the front loop is big enough to put a tag or two on it! this is great!

I have put tags on that loop, but have lost them a couple of times in the woods. I like to use his reg collar for tags when we go out.

Hmm that is too bad, my dog can no longer wear a collar but we don't want to loose tags

Maybe Greyhound/Pitbull?

--Greyhound because of the body shape, but could just as easily be Whippet, Borzoi, Saluki, Afghan Hound, or any other slender sight hound.

--Pitbull meaning any of the breeds or mixes that get casually called that, not a reference to a specific breed. The head shape is the main reason I am guessing this, although the rest of his appearance also reminds me of some other dog pictures I have seen that were considered pitbull-mixes.


(But he could be a mix of Mastiff + Border Collie + Chihuahua + poodle, or something else that sounds equally silly!)

His face looks kind of Lab-y but his body looks like some kind of sighthound... thats a real kaboodle of a dog!
