Umm, pitbulls have big heads. Also, how are they rare? Almost every dog I see in shelters is a pitbull mix.

They are rare because those aren't real pit bull terriers. They are just bully breed mixes.

Bones dry as heck.

Doberman is thin.. Husky just a lot of hair.. Greyhound always look lean.. "Mangia Porko" as Granny always said to me.. 'Eat like a pig.' Was so skinny, could fall through a sewer grate. You can't say no.. it just ends up on your plate and you better eat.

Even a mixed breed of APBT would be pretty crazy to me. Like I said, they are rare.

Looks like an "all american" "heinz 57".. If you do DNA test, it will come up with a lot of different breeds.

At the shelter he was tagged as a “pit hound mix.” In reality his parentage were probably not purebred themselves. Yes,I think there is a difference between the colloquial term pit bull and the breed. However, I will say that a landlord in a city where they have ordinances against pitbulls can deny you if your shelter pup is tagged as a pit mix. So whether he has true pit lineage or not, he is subject to the same laws and rules.
