Just went for a closer look at the "subject" and I can report as follows:

There are absolutely NO indications or hints of pointed saddle feathers. They are all beautifully round and no feathers pinning in.

There are dark feathers on the wing that could be suggestive of a wing bar developing but it's just a collection of approximately placed feathers atm so it's not conclusive evidence.

Personally - I'm still leaning towards cockerel. I'd expect a hen of this project line to be more consistent in colouring, the dark breast kinda says cockerel to me, as do the darker feathers on the wing. Am inclined to think that, despite having a boofy tail, it may also have a henny feathered trait in there which would suppress the saddles and sickles.

Oh.. and also the well developed comb and wattles for the age does not suggest a pullet.

Time will tell though!!
