Soooo... Today I found two lil eggies.
One was in the nest box (they are in the run, not in the coops), the other one was in the coop where the black bantam cochin (the "sister" of this mille fleur) and the black brahmas sleep. The millefleur prefers sleeping with the light brahmas. The black one developed a reddish comb but still not so bright. This year's brahmas are 5 to 6 months old and I wasn't expecting eggs from them for another month at least. The bantam cochins are both 5 months old, but these eggs seem a bit large to me to be first eggs of a bantie.
These are my first bantams though. If the size is proper for a bantam cochin I'd say these eggs are from them. What do you think?
