what are the night temps and how old your birds that you feel you need those heat lamps.

check and double check there is no way those lamps could be bumped by chickens and fall on those wood shavings

Actually someone posted a few weeks ago showing damage from a coop fire started by a heat lamp…if they are full grown I think they’d be fine without. It was -15 here the other day.

Get the heat lamps out

I think you have a major fire hazard on your hands.
And birds that are going to have a difficult time acclimating to winter temperatures because of the lamp.
They are way past the point of needing a heat lamp.
You really need to get it out now.

Like many of the other replies, I think you can skip the heat lamp. We got to 2F last night. The girls were out in the run by 5am, which is a little after the lights came on. 2 of the 4 girls have already laid an egg this morning. No heat lamp. Pop door, windows open all night. Unless you are really in a cold region, I think skipping heat is the way to go. YMMV.
