when I got "Pete" I had him and one chick, But sadly the one chick pass away I know the lady who gave me Pete and more chick like Pete do you think I should get one more chick to keep Pete happy

and Welcome To BYC! It is usually best to wait until the younger chickens are about the same size as the older ones before you combine them. And a long period of seeing but no touching behind wire, like if you can divide the coop into parts or keep the younger birds in a cage in the coop, for several weeks at least works well. fyi, at nine weeks, if you get Pete a friend the same age now, you may still have to introduce the two of them slowly, they may not get along at first either.
