Hello everyone, I have a couple of pictures of my new and first flock. 2 production reds and 2 barred rocks. They are sold as 90% pullet and they will exchange of one turns out to be a rooster. I am thinking 1 of each sex for each variety but I am not sure as it may be too soon to tell.

The Reds are 2.5 weeks old and the BR are 3.5 weeks old.

From the top down- "Princess, Big Black, Tammy Jr, and Lucy.

I think Princess may be Prince :)

Alright, the 2 Prod Red chicks are really close to 6 weeks and the BR are 6 weeks or more.
Please let me know what your thoughts on them are. I still lean toward 1 and 1 of each gender on both breeds. My guess is the bottom 2 are male. Their combs are pretty much double the size of the top 2, but I don't know if that means anything.

I would like to hear what you experts think.

Thanks!

I'm thinking Pullet on all. Both barred birds are definitely female. If anyone is male it's the second red bird. It has a fair amount of comb, but honestly not near the size or color I'd expect from a cockerel at this age.
