What do you use to candle

The eggs just went in the 'bator. Its a good thing Christmas is coming, because I would be biting my fingernails for the next three weeks if it wasn't. I want to know what everyone like to use for candling.

Slide projector turned on it's backside so the beam shines upward and either a "donut" I made from a washcloth or a circle of terrycloth with a hole cut in it for the egg to sit on. Works GREAT!

i use a maglight

I use my brooder light that has the silver reflector around it, 100w bulb, turn a coffee can upside down over the bulb and it sits perfect. cut 3/4 egg size hole in the bottom of the can. All homemade.

I use a flashlight, preferably a maglight.

I use a surfire 6p flashlight. I can light up the top of trees and see toes in brown eggs.

Hi!
I have a homemade coffee-can candler with a flourescent bulb for my main candling efforts.
For spot checks, I use a little 'pocket-sized' 9 led Garrity flashlight (also handy for checking eggs under broody hens in the coop).
